On last week’s SmackDown, Bianca Belair became the number one contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship after defeating three other women in a Fatal 4-way bout. Belair lost her title when Becky Lynch returned to SummerSlam and became the new champion in a rather controversial fashion.
Although not officially announced yet, Belair will most likely challenge for the title at the next pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules.
What will we see from these two tonight?
The Fatal 4-way also involved Carmella, Zelina Vega, and Liv Morgan. Morgan had an exceptional showing as it got down to her and Belair to earn the right to face Lynch in the future. Although not being on television since Money in the Bank, the fans were still firmly behind Morgan. Hopefully, we see more of her tonight.
Naomi returned to the blue brand last week. WWE Authority Sonya Deville apparently was not aware of Naomi returning to the brand, so she shrugged her off last week. She said she would have something for her this week though. We haven’t seen Toni Storm since her debut, could we see her face Naomi tonight?
Shotzi & Nox have multiple wins against the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Since Natalya has returned from injury and surgery, she and Tamina lost to Shotzi & Nox once again. It should be only a matter of time to have the title on the line.
Also on 205 Live tonight, Cora Jade will be taking on Amari Miller.
As always, feel free to discuss tonight’s show in the comment section below. Please be kind.
