Tonight’s SmackDown will be the first SmackDown since Survivor Series took place last weekend. Unfortunately for the blue brand, they continue to be booked on the losing end and Charlotte Flair lost her Champion vs. Champion match against Becky Lynch.
At the time of this writing, there has been nothing advertised for the women for tonight’s show. However, a few things have been built up prior to Survivor Series taking place.
Prior to competing on Team SmackDown last weekend, Toni Storm challenged Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown’s Women’s Title. Flair denied her championship request but did state she would have a match with her.
Sonya Deville is still harassing Naomi and now has included both Aliyah and referee Aja Smith (now named Daphanie LaShaunn). She utilized Smith to do a fast count during the tag team match last week in favor of Natalya & Shayna Baszler against Naomi & Aliyah. Deville pretended to not know about what went down and called Smith a crooked referee. Aliyah was also removed from the SmackDown Team at Survivor Series because of her teaming with Naomi.
Sasha Banks and Shotzi have entered into a feud and the two had to coexist at Survivor Series. This they did not, as Banks was counted out due to her own team not allowing her to get back in the ring.
Xia Li has had a new and interesting promo air last week. Will we get another vignette or any date when she may make her actual SmackDown debut?
If you want to continue to watch some women’s wrestling after SmackDown is over, you can either check out 205 Live or AEW’s Rampage.
205 Live –
Valentina Feroz vs. Elektra Lopez
Amari Miller vs. Erica Yan
Rampage –
Dr. Britt Baker vs. Riho – if Riho wins she earns a future title opportunity.
With all the women on SmackDown being used in some capacity, what will we end up seeing tonight? As always feel free to discuss the show in the comment section below and please remember to be kind. :)
