SmackDown is officially moving to Thursday nights.
Lords of Pain has revealed that SyFy’s official schedule now lists SmackDown as airing at 8pm ET on Thursday nights, starting October 2nd.
This confirms rumors that emerged a few weeks ago after fans spotted a WWE production truck that displayed the new air time.
SmackDown originally aired on Thursdays when it premiered in 1999. It made the move to Fridays in 2005.
No word yet on what this means for NXT and WWE Superstars, which are currently airing on Thursday nights at 9pm and 10pm ET on the WWE Network.
