After being utterly humilated on Raw this Monday by AJ Lee, it’s safe to say Divas Champion Kaitlyn is having a pretty rough week. Needless to say, Kaitlyn wasn’t too pleased when her opponent on SmackDown this week, Aksana, laughed at her before their match. Check out the video below:
Thoughts: If I’m being completely honest, I have been bored to tears when it comes to Kaitlyn’s title reign. At one point she was rarely on TV, she never defended her title and she had no direction as a character. That all changed when AJ Lee won #1 contendership and Kaitlyn began her secret admirer storyline.
The AJ/Kaitlyn feud has been a long time coming, and Diva fans are going crazy waiting for them to finally face off at Payback. The two Divas have so much history with each other and it is so good to see it’s being incorporated into this feud, instead of being swept under the rug, as we’ve seen so many times before when it comes to the Divas.
Another interesting note is the role reversal between AJ and Kaitlyn. AJ has been cool, calm and calculating, while Kaitlyn is burning all her bridges and is becoming more and more unstable by the day. I’m sure Kaitlyn emotional distress is going to play a huge part in this title match come Sunday.
In any case, with all the bad blood between AJ and Kaitlyn and factoring in Kaitlyn recent actions, this Divas title match should be quite the affair. Let’s hope that Kaitlyn can pull it together before Sunday, or not only will she be loveless, but title-less as well.
