It is being reported that Sonya Deville was arrested on Feb. 19 after a valet found a handgun in the glove box of her vehicle. TMZ is reporting that Deville did admit the handgun was hers and showed a permit for it, but the permit was for Florida and is not valid in New Jersey.
The court records show she’s since been charged with one count of unlawful weapon possession, handgun without permit. The records also indicated she will have to report to court for this by the end of March.
Those close to Deville have stated that she started carrying the fire arm after her home invasion by a 24-year old male back in 2020.
Deville recently became engaged to her girlfriend that she confirmed on Feb. 22.
