The games continue from Sonya Deville. On this week’s SmackDown, Naomi was still looking for a win and some revenge as she went one-on-one once again with Shayna Baszler.
Naomi was originally victorious in her match after she escaped the Kirifuda Clutch and locked Baszler down for the pin. After the match, Deville made her way out to the ring and reversed the decision. She uses the excuse that Naomi had her hands on the ropes while locked in the clutch and it should have been a rope break.
Baszler then went right for Naomi when the bell rang again and she locked into the clutch once again. Naomi promptly taps giving Baszler the win.
A Xia Li promo was aired saying she is coming soon. Li was drafted to SmackDown during the draft last month. She has yet to make her official debut.
Aliyah was seen backstage speaking with Jeff Hardy prior to being given some unwanted advice from Sami Zayn.
Shotzi had a promo backstage moving her into a heel role. After her attack on Sasha Banks last week, Shotzi is moving in a new direction. She says ever since moving to the blue brand she has lost title opportunities, her tag team partner, and the support from the fans.
She continues to blame Banks for costing her the biggest match of her career last week when she faced SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a Contenders match. Banks is her target and she plans to run over anyone who gets in her way and doesn’t need a tank to do it.
In a Dark Match prior to SmackDown, NXT & 205 Live’s Amari Miller defeated Dakota Kai.
On 205 Live this week, Erica Yan made her WWE debut in a singles match against Valentina Feroz. Despite Yan’s impressive first match, Feroz was able to pull out the win via submission.
