STARDOM make history at Wrestle Kingdom 14

For the first time ever STARDOM had a match at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 14. The history-making match saw Arisa Hoshiki and Mayu Iwatani take on Hana Kimura and Giulia in a special exhibition match exclusively for the fans in attendance.

Arisa Hoshiki and Mayu Iwatani came away as the winners of the first STARDOM match to place in the Tokyo Dome.

STARDOM President Rossy Ogawa commemorated the special occasion posing under the bright lights of the Tokyo Dome.

The match was historic for a number of reasons. As previously mentioned it was the first STARDOM match to take place at the Tokyo Dome and the first-ever women’s match at a Wrestle Kingdom event.

The match was made possible when NJPW’s parent comapny, Bushi-Road purchased STARDOM in October last year. Until now, the two promotions had been kept separate but using the opportunity and mass exposure of NJPW’s biggest show of the year was a great way to grow STARDOM’s fanbase.

Below are a few tweets from Session Moth Martina and the fans in attendance who witnessed this historic event.

A great start to the year for STARDOM and hopefully a launching pad for them to grow as promotion and draw more fans worldwide.
