In a Twitter post by Stephanie McMahon, the Chief Brand Officer of WWE made a statement.
She writes:
As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.
WWE’s Twitter account retweeted McMahon’s post while the WWE on Fox account posted the following –
Fightful Select is already on the news and has stated the following –
Fightful had heard rumblings that Stephanie had been less involved in WWE as of late. Those that we spoke to around the situation quickly shut down any potential rumors that she was pushed out of the position.
One rep that we contact said that Stephanie remains a part of the WWE family.

Internally within the company, it appears no one but the most inner circle had any idea this was coming, and everyone, to a person that we’ve heard from (and we’ve heard from MANY), was completely shocked and taken aback by the news.
