WWE is doing the unthinkable — letting its fans pitch storyline ideas to its Executive Vice President of Creative, Stephanie McMahon. There is, however, a catch.
In order to pitch your no doubt amazing storyline idea, that you’ve likely had swirling in your head for years, to the Billion Dollar Princess, you must win a charity auction (which is estimated to be worth $7,500) to raise money for WWE’s Hurricane Sandy relief appeal.
Oh, and there’s no actual guarantee that after forking out X amount of money your storyline will even be used on TV. So there’s that. But at least you’ll be supporting a worthwhile cause, right?
The auction, which is now live on CharityBuzz.com, reads: “This is your chance to change the course of WWE history. This package allows one winner to pitch a WWE storyline to WWE’s Executive Vice President of Creative, Stephanie McMahon! As the mind behind the WWE storyline, this could be your one shot to leave your mark on Stephanie and the WWE universe!”
But — and here’s a life lesson, folks! — beware of the small print. The legal terms add: “There is no guarantee that Stephanie will use the storyline. If the storyline is used, there will be no compensation for the winner.”
As well as your storyline, you know, likely never seeing the light of day, after paying what could amount to a small fortune, you’ll be subject to a security screening and expected to exhibit “polite manners and respect for the generous donor”. Fun!
So, Diva fans, now is your chance to possibly to change the Divas division — or at the very least jump through many a hoop to meet or receive a phone call from Stephanie.
