Stipulation Added To Title Match At Extreme Rules; Shotzi Turns Face

On the Sept. 16 episode of SmackDown, a stipulation was added to the upcoming SmackDown Women’s Championship Match between the champion Liv Morgan and challenger Ronda Rousey.

Extreme Rules is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 and Morgan will defend against Rousey in an Extreme Rules Match. In a backstage interview that started with just Rousey and Kayla Braxton quickly was interrupted by the champion. Morgan asked Braxton to leave as she talked to Rousey.

Morgan reminds Rousey that she is the only person who has defeated her twice. She says both times she beat her, Rousey’s shoulders were on the mat, her arm was raised, and the title was put around her waist. Morgan adds that she will do what she has to do to make Rousey respect her and the only way she can do that is to do it in an Extreme Rules Match. Rousey agreed to the stipulation and let Morgan know that it is her funeral.

Elsewhere on this week’s SmackDown, Bayley took on Raquel Rodriguez. Rodriguez had to go at the match without back up from her tag team partner Aliyah. It was said that Damage CTRL put Aliyah on the shelf on Raw.

The Damage CTRL leader made sure to have her back up with her in the form of the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. They would prove helpful for the end of the match after an interference cause a distraction for the referee. Bayley would capitalize with a Rose Plant on Rodriguez to pick up the win.

After the match, Damage CTRL would target Rodriguez for a post-match attack. The save for Rodirguez was made by Shotzi who came running down to the ring. She chased off Bayley and company and helped Rodriguez get back onto her feet seemingly turning face in the process.
