Storm & May Lock In The Win, But Deeb Leaves With The Flag Raised

We are about four days away from this weekend’s AEW Double or Nothing, and on tonight’s Dynamite we got a little preview of some long-awaited matches in the women’s division.

We get a preview of this Sunday, as the TBS Championship is on the line with the champion Willow Nightingale looking to prove herself against Mercedes Moné. Moné is set to make her in-ring return after being sidelined from injury for an entire year, having last wrestled for the New Japan Strong Women’s Championship against Nightingale herself. Since Moné’s AEW debut at Big Business, the two have been at odds for weeks and the two finally go head to head once and for all.

In tag-team action, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm and her protégé Mariah May look to shut up the team of Saraya and Harley Cameron after tension brewing for some weeks now. The two teams make their entrances, and Storm is wearing the flag of Serena Deeb’s dojo, continuing to mock her from last week’s Collision

May and Cameron start the match and are even until they make the tag out to their partners. Storm and May get the advantage on Saraya and cut the ring in half, until Saraya pulls off some dirty tricks. The Outcasts overpower May and Saraya ends up sending her into the barricade.

May finds an opening and Storm makes the hot tag in. Storm and May try to set them up on the top rope, but end up getting countered with a sunset flip powerbomb. In a last-ditch effort, Storm and May manage to lock lips with the Outcasts and hit their finishers for the win.

Post-match, Deeb attacks the Timeless One’s crew with a steel chair and heel in hand and forces Storm to beg for mercy as she locks in a half Boston Crab through the chair. Deeb leaves with her Deeb’s Dojo flag and a chip on her shoulder going into Double or Nothing.

What did you think about tonight’s go-home Dynamite? Will Moné be victorious on her come back or will Nightingale prevail? Who will walk out as the AEW Women’s World Champion at Double or nothing? Sound off in the comments below.
