Leading up to SummerSlam this Sunday, we’re looking back at memorable Diva moments from the history of the “biggest party of the summer”.
Today, we’re going back to SummerSlam 2011, when Divas Champion Kelly Kelly put her title on the line against Beth Phoenix.
Each Diva had an ally in their corner. Kelly has Eve Torres, while Beth had her fellow Diva of Doom Natalya.
Two weeks after turning heel and blindsiding Kelly, Beth was completely confident that she could defeat the underdog.
Kelly managed the impossible, though, reversing the Glam Slam into a quick roll-up pin. Having retained the title, Kelly grabbed the belt and hightailed it away from the Glamazon.
