Superstar Shake-Up Rumors

Tonight, April 16, on Raw the Superstar Shake-Up begins. Reports speculating as to which Superstar will switch brands hit the news stands as soon as the event was announced.

Here’s a rundown of the top rumors for this week’s event:

  • According to Wrestlinginc, Asuka could be going to the SmackDown brand. The Empress of Tomorrow is currently being advertised for the Sunday, June 10th blue brand live event from Tupelo, Mississippi at the BancorpSouth Arena.
  • The Mirror and Sportskeeda are reporting that Charlotte‘s beat down and subsequent loss of the SmackDown Women’s Championship is writing her off the show and preparing her for a move to Raw. It’s also rumored that Charlotte’s move would begin building a feud with Ronda Rousey that would culminate at WrestleMania 35.
  • Dave Meltzer also speculates that if Charlotte moves, Alexa Bliss would come back to SmackDown.
  • Cageside Seats is reporting that there are expected to be championships that change shows in the Superstar Shakeup tonight and tomorrow. It’s likely it’s the IC and US titles but, it’s anyone’s guess right now.
  • The Daily DDT along with fans are speculating whether tonight’s match up between Sasha Banks and Bayley signifies a blow off before one of them moves to SmackDown.
  • According to Give Me Sport, when speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, a fan revealed that the WrestleMania program they received in New Orleans listed several RAW stars as SmackDown stars, and vice versa. According to that program, WWE’s original Shake-up plans could have featured AJ Styles, Naomi, The New Day and Jinder Mahal as RAW superstars, while Finn Balor, Roman Reigns and Asuka had been listed as SmackDown superstars. Some fans noticed Naomi had looked a little agitated during her match last week against Natalya, maybe she’s moving to Raw?
  • ProWrestling.com is reporting that Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega along with Sanity with Nikki Cross may be moved up to either brand.
  • Anything’s game supposedly as PW Insider notes that pretty much the entire SmackDown roster will be at Monday Night Raw for the Superstar Shakeup.

What do you think of these rumors? Who do you want to switch brands? Who else from NXT is ready for the main roster? Sound off in the comments below.
