On WWE’s The Bump, it was mentioned that Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will receive a rematch. Last week, after an orchestrated attack on Naomi occurred by Bayley and a returning Banks, Lacey Evans made the save. This turned the original one-on-one match into a tag team bout that favored in Naomi’s direction.
Naomi picked up a huge win for her team by pinning the champion. This win comes off of coming up short at Super ShowDown and was unable to become a three-time champion.
The SmackDown Women’s Title picture continues to be a little murky as Bayley has had three different challengers since the Royal Rumble. At the time of this writing, there is no match for the women of the blue brand at the upcoming Elimination Chamber.
Evans alluded to have to go through “five different women” two weeks ago when she had a sit-down interview with Renee Young. Nothing has been mentioned since.
