Tara‘s TNA character isn’t unfamiliar with drama (Lockbox Showdown, anyone?), but now she’s going to be portraying a whole new dramatic persona in a (dun dun dun..) soap opera.
Tara, real name Lisa Marie Varon, and her Impact Wrestling on-screen boytoy Jessie Godderz, have both been cast in “Tainted Dreams”.
The soap, created by Emmy Award winning director Sonia Blangiardo, has been described as a “soap within a soap” and is set to “blow the lid off the behind-the-scenes comedy and drama of producing a daily soap opera”.
Director Blangiardo has revealed what she believes Tara and Jessie will bring to the project. She said, “Wrestling has evolved into an ‘action soap opera,’ combining athletic prowess with the on-going, serialized drama taking place in and out of the wrestling ring. “There is a tremendous crossover audience between traditional soap operas and wrestling which creates a perfect fit for Jessie and Lisa Marie in our cast.”
Blangiardo also took to Twitter to post a more personal message. She tweeted:
So happy to welcome @taralisamarie &@mrpec_tacular to cast of Tainted Dreams! Many thanks to @impactwrestling! nycbrandproductions.com/?p=1153

Tara and Jessie will join a whole host of actors, singers and reality TV stars including the likes of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo and Alicia Minshew of “All My Children” fame.
On top of wrestling and acting, Tara recently opened a new restaurant, The Squared Circle, in her home town of Chicago.
