Tasha Steelz is still your Knockouts World Champion as she defeated Havok at Saturday’s IMPACT Plus Under Siege event. Steelz has been champion now for two months and doesn’t intend on letting the gold go just yet. She even proved that she could do the match on her own as Savannah Evans was abducted into the Undead Realm by Decay.
After taking a page out of the playbook of Decay by biting Havok, Steelz had to pull everything she had to keep Havok down for the three count. Havok delivered a Death Valley Driver but the champ got her shoulder up at the count of two to keep the match going. Back on the offense, the Knockouts World Champion hit a springboard Bulldog but that wasn’t enough. Connecting with Black Out is what it took to get the three count and for Steelz to retain her gold.
A match that was originally on the Countdown to Under Siege preshow, Gisele Shaw vs. Madison Rayne was moved to the main card. It was the opening match of the show. Ever since The Influence retained the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles at Rebellion against The IInspiration, one woman, in particular, has had an interest in the tag champs. That would be Gisele Shaw and she vows to steal the spotlight.
Shaw pulls out her biggest win so far in IMPACT as she pins one-half of the tag champs thanks in part to Alisha. Alisha has sparked interest in helping Shaw and was with her at ringside. As the match reaches its conclusion, Rayne drops Shaw head-first into the mat but Shaw narrowly kicks out before the count of three. Tenille Dashwood attempts to help Rayne as she grabs Shaw’s leg but Alisha takes her out her at ringside. Shaw hits a running knee to secure her victory to take out one-half of the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. Could we be seeing a new force in Shaw and Alisha?
Elsewhere at Under Siege, Taya Valkyrie retained the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship by defeating Deonna Purrazzo. Mia Yim made her IMPACT! return after the match. More on this can be read by clicking here.
