Taya Valkyrie made her first post-WWE appearance in a video at AAA’s TripleMania Regia show.
In the video, Valkyrie lays a challenge to current AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, Deonna Purrazzo.
The former NXT Superstar last wrestled for the Mexican promotion in 2019 where she is the longest-reigning Reina de Reinas Champion in history. During her first run with the title, Valkyrie held it for a whopping 945 days from 2014-2017.
Valkyrie and Purrazzo are no strangers having clashed in IMPACT! Wrestling over the Knockouts Championship earlier this year at Hard to Kill.
Earlier in the day, Valkyrie celebrated her free agency status after her 30-day non-complete clause expired.
Valkyrie signed for WWE in Feburay and debuted in NXT as Franky Monet. During her short time in the brand, she challenged Raquel Gonzalez for the women’s championship.
WWE shockingly released Monet along with Ember Moon, and Scarlett Bordeaux last month.
Since her release, Valkyrie has been busy taking bookings for Prestige Wrestling’s Roseland 2 on February 20 and Nation Extreme Wrestling’s New 5 on February 25.
