Today marks the one year anniversary that Taya Valkyrie won the IMPACT! Knockout’s Championship.
Valkyrie captured the title from Tessa Blanchard at the Homecoming PPV a year ago today in a highly entertaining match that featuring Gail Kim as the special guest referee.
The title win would begin Valkyrie’s journey to becoming the longest ever Knockouts Champion. Taya would surpass Taryn Terrell‘s 279-day title reign back in September 2019.
Valkyrie would successfully defend the title throughout the year most notably against Jordynne Grace at Rebellion, Rosemary, Su Yung and Jessicka Havok in a Monster’s Ball match at Slammaversay XVII and Tenille Dashwood at Bond for Glory.
Valkyrie’s next defence of the Knockouts Championship is a 3-way match against Jordynne Grace and ODB at Hard to Kill this Sunday in Dallas, Texas.
