Taya Valkyrie Wins AAA Reina de Reinas Title At Rebellion

Deonna Purrazzo is Champ Champ no more, as Taya Valkyrie is the new AAA Reina de Reinas Champion. Purrazzo still holds the ROH Women’s World Championship.

Purrazzo and Valkyrie renewed their past rivalry at IMPACT!’s Rebellion event on Saturday. The final moments of the match sees Purrazzo escaping a Road to Valhalla. Purrazzo attempts to take control of the match by launching herself of the top but Valkyrie counters mid air with a powerbomb. Valkyrie does succesfully hit her Road to Valhalla to become the new AAA Reina de Reinas Champion.

This is Valkyrie’s fourth reign as champion tying with Faby Apache with the most reigns. Valkyrie does hold the longest amount of combined days as champion. Purrazzo’s first reign as champ ends at 252-days.

Other titles that were on the line at Rebellion included the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships and the Knockouts World Title.

First, on the Countdown to Rebellion pre-show, the tag titles were on the line. The IInspiration received their rematch against The Influence. The Influence pull out a win here and remain champions. The final moments of the match has Tenille Dashwood hitting the Spotlight Kick on Cassie Lee but is only able to get a near fall. Lee follows up with her spin kick but The Influence counter The Idolizer into The Collab to retain the gold.

Rosemary receives a chance to become a singles champion for the first time in years as she face the Knockouts World Champion Tasha Steelz.

Steelz continues to rely on the “do anything to win” mentality as she has Savannah Evans at ringside with her. Rosemary does have Havok with her to even the odds in this fight. That is for a moment. Steelz slaps Havok at ringside only for her to retaliate which makes the referee eject Havok from ringside.

Rosemary attempts to build momentum now with Havok gone as she hits Steelz with the slingblade, followed by an exploder suplex which she gets a near fall. Steelz then connects with Stratusfaction for another near fall. Steelz goes with teh title belt as a weapon next but the referee stops her. Evans hits a big boot to Rosemary during the distration. Steelz hits Blackout but it still doesn’t keep her opponent down. Rosemary sprays both Evans and Steelz with the green mist but Steelz doesn’t stay down. The champion hits a cutter and drops Rosemary to the mat to retain.

Other Knockouts that appeared were Chelsea Green and Jordynne Grace.

Green accompanied the Major Players to ringside when they entered the 8 Team Elimination Match for the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles. The team that the Major Players faced was Jordynne Grace & W. Morrissey. Matt Cardona rolled up Grace to advance for their time and eliminate Grace & Morrissey.

After the match, Green delivers a low blow to Morrissey but he is wearing a cup. She is then powerbombed through the timekeeper’s table.
