Former TNA Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde has confirmed that she has signed with a promotion for her return to the wrestling industry. Wilde previously mentioned that she was set to make an appearance with IMPACT Wrestling last March but as a result of the pandemic this was put on hold. She will be returning to the ring for the first time in 10 years as she retired in 2011.
She recently spoke with Women’s Wrestling Talk to provide an update of her status.
“I can say I am signed. It is to a bigger promotion, and I will be back on TV. I was supposed to start this month, but due to the political climate as it is, and a bunch of administrative boring stuff, I’m not able to start this month, but hopefully next month. I’m still going to leave the promotion as a surprise as [It’ll] just be better for everybody. It’s a little bit of a surprise.”
The most obvious go-to promotion that Wilde has signed with is IMPACT. This is based on her previous run with the company and the success she had with them. To leave the options open, Wilde wouldn’t confirm where she was heading.
“I’m not gonna say that it’s not. It’s not not starting with the letter I. Okay… But it’s also not not starting with the letter A or W. I’m just going to leave it in the wind. I don’t know. I will say though, that this promotion has a strong ass women’s division. And so excited to be a part of it. Like these are all women. I haven’t had the chance to work with since I’ve retired. These are all the new generation. And it’s a really exciting place to be right now.”
