Jake‘s Pick: Michelle McCool.
My pick is former Divas and Women’s Champion Michelle McCool. Michelle would be a really interesting fit into the way this show is set up and I think would really get people talking. There are multiple ways her story could go.
Wrestling fans have always said that McCool was only as successful as she was because of her husband, The Undertaker. It’s been rumored she had some pull backstage. None of the current crop of women on the show really have that. I think it’d be interesting to see some of the politics and catfights among the Divas about McCool’s success and how she handles jealousy from the other women in wrestling.
On top of her success from her relationship, I’m sure I am not the only one who would love to see The Undertaker canoodling with Chelly on the couch. Okay, I’m actually hysterically laughing just thinking about it right now. Can we resign her and get this shot for season two right now?!
Michelle is also a woman of faith…hence the crosses bedazzled all over her ring gear. I’d really like to see how her faith plays into her character. It’s got to be tough to have a kind heart and go out in front of tons of people and call your colleagues fat or ugly. It’d also be interesting to see the meetings where they set these segments up and how her opponents handle the creative ideas about being bullied on TV.
