Once again, being a good guy pays off as the baby face team of Team Rhea Ripley (or is it Team Bianca Belair?) emerge victorious in WarGames.
At Saturday’s Survivor Series, Ripley, Belair, Bayley, IYO SKY, and Naomi were able to work together to take out two champions Nia Jax and Liv Morgan, along with Raquel Rodriguez, Candice LeRae, and Tiffany Stratton.
The match started off a bit shaky with soft chair shots and the advantage going between each team as another member entered. The entrants were Bayley and Jax starting off the match, followed by Naomi and LeRae. It wasn’t until IYO SKY entered that the crowd woke up some as she climbed up the side to enter the WarGames match the best way she knows how. As LeRae attempted to pull SKY down from the top, a missed Sunset Flip spot took place as SKY officially entered the ring.
SKY would make up for it later though as she had many fun spots. She would climb up the steel structure to get to a trash can she left on top. As she was doing so, Stratton went up top on the opposite side of the cage. With both women putting their bodies on the line, SKY hit a moonsault inside the trash can, while Stratton hit a Senton to the other participants below in each ring.
Stratton had a plan up her sleeve as she had the Money in the Bank briefcase hidden in a trash can. With both Morgan and Jax down in front of her, she contemplated on cashing in. On who? And since there are 10 women in this match, how would this work? Rodriguez stared at Stratton trying to taunt her which then was interrupted by SKY spraying the fire extinguisher everywhere. Rodriguez found herself handcuffed to the ring rope as a result by Ripley. This essentially kept Rodriguez from doing much of anything for the rest of the match.
There was a moment in the match when SKY and Bayley stared each other down. Despite being on the same team, they have a lot of negative history sans Damage CTRL. It was Jax that broke up the potential fight between teammates with a double clothesline.
Eventually, the ending came with an avalanche Riptide by Ripley to Morgan through a table.
The Babyface team celebrated after the match by climbing on the top of the structure.
