The former WWE Superstar Tegan Nox (Nixon Newell) is still unable to get back into the ring due to visa issues. She was released from WWE in November and has not appeared in the ring since October. She was drafted to Raw and split from her teammate Shozti who stayed on SmackDown. Nox did not debut on Raw before her release.
While speaking on the Sappenin’ podcast, Newell had the following to say –
“Basically, because I haven’t gotten the visa or green card, I can’t wrestle. I keep getting messages, ‘Have you retired?’ No, I just can’t. Legally, I can’t. I’ve just been chilling, in the house, playing video games. I went to Sad Summer Fest a couple of weeks ago, which was phenomenal. Just chilling with my dogs and friends. Usual stuff that I can do without working.” (Fightful)
Newell spent four years with the company and started in 2017. She suffered two knee injuries early on in her career which both required surgery and both happened during the two Mae Young Classic Tournaments. She wasn’t able to compete at all in the first one and was taken out due to injury in the second one.
She originally debuted in wrestling in 2013 and spent her early years on the indie scene. There is no timetable on when she will be able to be back in the ring.
