9. Build Characters
Apart from Britt Baker being a dentist, Brandi Rhodes wearing a veil and drinking wine with Awesome Kong randomly scapling people every now and then very little character development has taken place within the division. The male roster has its fair share of characters that helped elevate them beyond wrestlers wrestling for a chance to challenge for the title. Why not extend this luxury to the women? I mean Sean Spears has had more character development than the entire women’s roster put together.
The solution is to lay into the Britt Baker experiment and push her as the face of the company and next champion. Drop the dentist thing and have her as the standard-bearer of AEW, similar to Charlotte in WWE for lack of better comparison.
Bea Priestley’s demon character has yet to be explored fully and Allie‘s new black bunny character could have wings. Why is Awesome Kong cutting off people’s hair?
Build up the characters and tell us why. Is that too much to ask?
