6. Write a storyline
The only storyline I can think of so far was the teacher vs student match between Emi Sakura and Riho at Full Gear, that received no build whatsoever leaving the emotion, history and importance feeling flat.
The male roster also has similar failings but it is no way as noticeable as the in the women’s division. There was one decent storyline that featured Britt Baker and Bea Priestley in a feud that involved legitimate injuries, passion and a hatred for one another. And the payoff? On the goddam Full Gear Buy-In preshow.
There are a number of storylines open in the division that could play out. A Baker heel turn in which she is resentful of all the new talent taking her spot. Nyla vs Awesome Kong as monster versus monster. Riho and Emi Sakura team up to prove Joshi belongs in AEW. Something. Anything.
