Tenille Dashwood announced in a Mixed Tag Team Match for Slammiversary

Slammiversary is this Saturday and we have another match with Knockouts involved added to the card.

Tenille Dashwood will be teaming up with Brian Myers taking on Matt Cardona and a tag team partner of his choosing.

Myers was out in the ring with Sam Beale as they were calling out Jake Something. Jake didn’t come alone though as Myers’ rival Cardona joined him. It didn’t take long for things to get physical as Cardona took out Myers with an Unprettier and he was then setting up for a running kick to add further injury. What Knockouts fans didn’t expect was Dashwood appeared and delivered a low blow to Cardona.

It was Dashwood that Myers was speaking to backstage who acknowledged her personal past with Cardona. Cardona was livid backstage afterward as Scott D’Amore approached him. He said he was going to make Cardona vs. Myers at Slammiversary but now he has made it a Mixed Tag Team Match with Dashwood joining Myers and Cardona selecting a partner of his choosing.

Of course Chelsea Green, Cardona’s real-life fiance would make the most sense in this scenario. However, Green debuted on Ring of Honor over the weekend for that promotion and stated she still was out with her arm injury for another month.

Cardona’s mystery partner now makes two women who will be a surprise at Slammiversary.

Deonna Purrazzo will be defending her Knockouts Title against an opponent that she doesn’t know until the moment the match happens on Saturday. In a sit-down contract signing with D’Amore, Purrazzo was explaining that there was no upside to her signing the contract for the match without knowing who her opponent would be.

Purrazzo is a two-time Knockouts Champion and first won the title at Slammiversary last year when she defeated Jorydnne Grace. She goes on to list the women she has defeated in the past year. D’Amore convinces a frustrated champion to sign the contract.

Keeping with the theme of possible former WWE talent appearing for the event, D’Amore mentions ‘Hot Mess’, ‘Iconic’, and ‘Hardcore Country’ as he exits the room. Purrazzo turns and says, “Are you really not going to tell me who it is?” He says, “No Way Jose.”

As for match results on this last IMPACT before the big event –

Havok defeated Tasha Steelz

Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering defeated Tenille Dashwood & Kaleb with a K

Havok & Rosemary are facing Fire ‘N Flava in attempts to win their first tag titles by defeating the two-time champs. Rosemary is also trying to see how far Havok will take their partnership and see if she will become one of them by joining Decay. She has enlisted the help of Father James Mitchell who was just done speaking to Susan.

As for Susan, Kimber Lee has had her backup plan to turn Susan back into Su Yung and wanted Mitchell to help her. She was surprised when Susan was still Susan and she admitted all this time she knew who Su Yung was although she acted as though she didn’t. Susan laughed as she pulled Kimber by the hair into the room.

Check back in with Diva Dirt as we will have coverage on Saturday for Slammiversary, including a discussion post, and we are hoping for some nice surprises for the Knockouts Division.
