Tessa Blanchard adds another championship to her list of accomplishments as she became Reina de Reinas Champion during an AAA event. AAA held their Triplemania XXVII event yesterday and a new champion was in need. Heading into the match prior champion Keyra had to vacate the title due to injury.
The match was a seven-woman Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match with the title hanging above the ring. The participants other than Blanchard were Lady Shani, Faby Apache, Chik Tormenta, La Hiedra, Ayako Hamada, and Impact Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie. Hamada replaced Keyra in the match.
The bout featured many high risks spots which were expected in this type of atmosphere. Many weapons were used throughout. Taya introduced a staple gun where she stapled Impact flyers to Tormenta’s forehead. Tacks were also used during the match.
Taya is a two-time Reina de Reinas champion herself where her first reign was a remarkable 945 days. This time, Blanchard was able to solidify her win and the gold as the two Impact Knockouts battled it out at the top of the ladder.
Not only does this add to Blanchard’s past accolades, but it adds to her current titles that she is collecting. She is also the WOW World Champion, the PWX Women’s Champion, and the WSU Champion among others.
