The Texas-based independent promotion WrestleCircus is known for pushing the bar and groundbreaking achievements. WrestleCircus was the first official Twitch wrestling partner and their shows usually feature a copious amount of big independent names on their show cards. This past weekend, they lived up to their name and sent their Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard on her very own carnival tour in Australia.
From Friday, November 24th to November 27th, Tessa Blanchard embarked on her #InternationAssault2K17 tour to defend her WrestleCircus Lady of the Ring Championship in a series of matches for the Australian based promotion World Series Wrestling. The Australian cities on the tour included Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney Australia with no shortage of formidable opponents. Tessa issued an open challenge every night and each night her skills were put to the test against rising independent women’s wrestlers.

Stop #1 – Melbourne, Australia
Night one of the International Assault Tour 2K17 on November 24th saw Tessa Blanchard victoriously defend her WrestleCircus Lady of the Ring Championship against Indie Hartwell. Before the show, Tessa met up with her current boyfriend, Trevor Mann (Richochet) who was also featured on the card.
Stop #2 – Adelaide, Australia
Night two, in Adelaide Australia, Tessa’s open challenge was accepted by Savannah Summers, which lead to another successful WrestleCircus Lady of the Ring title defense by Tessa.
Stop #3 – Brisbane, Australia
In Brisbane, Tessa Blanchard wrestled another great match, this time against Sofia Morales.

Stop #4 – Sydney, Australia
Tessa Blanchard’s #InternationalAssaultTour2K17 came to an end with a hometown favorite, Shazza Mckenzie, accepting Tessa’s open challenge, but falling short in the end.
It comes as no surprise that Tessa Blanchard was selected to wrestle four different women, in four nights while putting her championship on the line all four times. She has elevated the title and The Lady of the Ring Championship has now become a World Championship with her successful trip to Australia. She’s an amazing talent with many more show-stopping matches to come.
Did you happen to catch any of Tessa’s matches this past weekend in Australia? What do you think of her Australian tour?
