Tessa Blanchard to defend title in a War of Attrition Match

Tessa Blanchard had an amazing year in 2019. With a chance to win a male-dominated world title at Hard to Kill for IMPACT on Jan. 12 her 2020 seems to be starting off on the right foot as well.

This news, however, is in regards to another title, the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship. She became the first woman to hold this title when she defeated Jordynne Grace in May. This match saw Molly Holly as the special guest referee.

This title will be defended at Warrior Wrestling 8 and it will be done in the first-ever women’s War of Attrition match. The match is a three falls match and it was introduced at Warrior Wrestling 2 when the men’s world title was crowned. The rules are as follows:

Fall One is 4-on-4: Losers eliminated. The winner would then pick their partner for the next fall.

Fall Two is 2-on-2 : The winning team of four splits up and the losing team is eliminated.

Fall Three is 1-on-1: The winner is the champ.

As far as the competitors, they have all been officially announced. There will be seven women vying for their shot to dethrone Blanchard. The mixture of talent proves that this match will be one to see.

The competitors in the match along with Blanchard are – Ray Lyn, Taya Valkyrie, Kylie Rae, Big Swole, Tasha Steelz, Madison Rayne, and Britt Baker. This match will take place in Chicago Heights, IL on Feb. 15.
