It is happening. Tessa Blanchard will be getting her match for the IMPACT World Championship in just a couple of months. The match will take place at their Hard to Kill pay-per-view on Jan. 12. This makes history in the promotion for the first time a woman has been in a match for IMPACT’s top title.
Blanchard has been making her way down this road all year. She failed to make it to the title match for this very same title at Bound For Glory. Callihan beat her for the chance as he faced then-champion Brian Cage. Cage would retain at Bound For Glory only to lose right after to Callihan.
She has recently fought for the X-Division Championship in a ladder match at Bound For Glory. She would come up short as Ace Austin would make his way to the top becoming the new champion and dethroning Jake Crist in the process.
Now is what we have all been waiting for. Can Blanchard become IMPACT World Champion?
