Total Bellas returns this Sunday, May 20, 2018 and with it the drama between Nikki Bella and John Cena continues this week when the Bella Twins appeared on Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda to promote it.
During a recent interview with the show, Lee and Hoda ask Nikki how she feels about Cena’s newest revelation that “he wants the relationship to work and to be the father of her children.”
“I was so shocked. I literally was in the middle of the red carpet for the NBCUniversal upfronts and got the breaking news. I mean, John — and you guys know this — he is absolutely an amazing man, such a sweetheart, and I truly love him so much. He’s my best friend.
I think a lot of us that go through the wedding planning process, I think we kinda have to face — and get forced to face — all of these issues that we have just hiding deep down inside.
I just know that a healthy me will be a healthy us. I do have hope for our future, but I know right now I need to work on me. Before I do say those vows and walk down that aisle, I just don’t want to be hesitant. I don’t want to be regretful.
I definitely have hope. I really do.”
Nikki resurfaced earlier this month to thank fans for their support and to say she’s focusing more on herself.
The twins go on to promote the season premiere of Total Bellas and how it will focus on the nitty gritty of the relationship and wedding planning, how the relationship fell apart, and more.
This season will also feature Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan‘s relationship, training for an in-ring comeback, and the announcement that Bryan has been cleared to compete.
Total Bellas Season 3 premieres on E! Sunday, May 20, at 9 p.m. ET.
