Sasha Banks and Bayley
The new champions Sasha Banks and Bayley won big last night. For all the teases of feuds between these two and for the teasing of the tag titles, the right team won. They have been officially teaming together since last summer, have amazing chemistry, are legit friends and are two of the best workers in the WWE; male or female.
The narrative for this team was that Sasha’s injury could cost them the tag titles and were at a terrible disadvantage because they were starting the match. However, they went the distance. Sasha was able to use a variant of the Bank Statement to secure the win. The heartfelt speech was also a nice touch.
They join the ranks of The Jumping Bomb Angels, The Glamour Girls and the tag team of Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria. Moving forward, the question becomes who are they going to defend their titles against first? Will it be Fire and Desire? The IIconics? The Riott Squad? Will Sasha’s reputation for never having a successful title defense factor into the story?
