Diva Dirt presents the first annual Writers’ Choice Awards, the awards that celebrate the year in women’s wrestling, as decided by the editors and contributors of Diva Dirt. The Diva Dirt team has watched hundreds of episode of wrestling television this year, as well as hundreds of live events on DVD, additionally, we’ve followed a countless number of wrestlers over the year, and reviewed tons of matches. Now, as we come to the end of 2011, we have picked the best of the best to be awarded our Writers’ Choice blue ribbons.

Jessicka Havok
Quite frankly, women’s wrestling has never been a scarier place than it is now.
WSU star Jessicka Havok has turned the heads of fans around the world this year, including the staff here at Diva Dirt, for her psychotic and ruthless persona.
Havok has threatened the lives of her opponents, cut intense promos and delivered brutal matches in the ring. And as a viewer, you can’t help but feel scared of her — yet admire her at the same time.
It’s hard to think of the last time there was such a fascinating, scary and intriguing character in North American women’s wrestling.
The Diva Dirt team unanimously agreed that Havok is the best heel in the business right now as she was picked by all seven members of the group.
