The NWA Empowerrr pay-per-view is two weeks from this Saturday on Aug. 28 and we now know how the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championships will be brought back. Mickie James had already announced that the company was bringing back the titles after 37-years. Now we know it will be in a tournament at Empowerrr with the first team, The Hex, announced.
The Hex consists of Allysin Kay and Marti Belle and the two are no strangers to tournaments. They both have been involved in a current tournament for Ring of Honor who is in the midst of crowning a new champion. Belle lost in the first round to Trish Adora while Kay has advanced to the quarter-finals and is next to face Adora.
Other matches announced so far for the event includes the following:
NWA World Women’s Title Match – Kamille (c) vs. “Legit” Leyla Hirsch
IMPACT Knockouts Title Match – Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs. Melina
10-Woman Invitational – Tootie Lynn, Jamie Senegal, Chelsea Green, Lady Frost, Debbie Malenko, Bianca Carelli, and four more TBA
Other names expected to be at the event – Kenzie Paige, Jennacide, and Kylie Rae.
