Tag Titles Stay Put; Fallon Henley Successfully Retains Ahead of Vengeance Day!

With Vengeance Day on the horizon, NXT kept the momentum rolling with a gold rush episode of championship stakes! Let’s dive right in!

Giulia & Bayley vs. Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez

Before the bell, Cora and Roxanne tried to jump their opponents, but Bayley and Giulia were ready, sending the heels scrambling to the floor. We officially started with Roxanne and Giulia, who immediately went into a tight sequence of counters and near-falls. Giulia caught Perez with a backslide for two, dodged a knee strike, and flipped the tables into another pin attempt. Perez, ever the scrapper, grabbed Giulia’s hair, but Giulia made her pay with a sharp dropkick and a quick cover.

Roxanne got an opening and forced Giulia into her corner, tagging in Cora, but Bayley made her presence felt by tagging in and immediately lighting up Cora with a slap and a flurry of strikes. A snapmare and elbow drop softened Cora up, and a diving clothesline got Bayley a two-count. She set Cora up on the apron, but Cora slithered through her legs, leading to a waistlock reversal sequence that ended with Bayley stuck in enemy territory. Perez tagged in, but Bayley regained control and hit her with a double knees to the back while draped on the ropes! Giulia and Bayley then hit stereo suplexes, sending a message that they were more than just a makeshift team.

Giulia re-entered, but Perez turned the tide, sending Bayley crashing to the floor and hitting a suicide dive on both opponents! Cora followed up with a top-rope senton onto Giulia! Back inside, Cora took control, delivering a nasty springboard stomp to Giulia’s back for a two-count. Perez tagged back in, keeping the pressure on with a double stomp to the gut. The heels kept Giulia grounded with quick tags, and a springboard moonsault from Perez got a two-plus count.

Giulia finally broke free, flooring Cora with a sharp kick and diving for Bayley’s outstretched hand—Cora grabbed her! But Giulia kicked free, and Bayley got the hot tag! Bayley ran wild, taking down Cora before planting Perez with a slam. She nearly had Cora pinned, but a well-timed shot from Perez bailed her out.

Cora and Perez took turns wearing down Bayley, cutting the ring in half. A Bayley-to-Belly out of nowhere got her breathing room, but Perez dragged her away from Giulia. Bayley escaped another double-team and tagged in Giulia, who dodged a wild shot from Perez and blasted her with a running forearm. A Northern Lights suplex got a close two, but Cora blind-tagged in.

Miscommunication struck when Cora accidentally nailed Perez, allowing Giulia to crack her with a jaw-jarring shot! Bayley neutralized Perez on the outside while Giulia landed a headbutt and tagged Bayley for the exclamation point—a flying elbow drop for the win.

Winners: Bayley & Giulia

WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Fallon Henley vs. Shotzi

The bell rang, and Fallon immediately got in Shotzi’s face, shoving her—so Shotzi knocked her flat on her back. A crisp hurricanrana and an enzuigiri had Fallon reeling, and Shotzi kept up the attack with a springboard wheelbarrow facebuster. She tried for a running splash, but Fallon dodged, shifting the momentum.

Shotzi stayed aggressive, setting Fallon up on the top rope and launching her off with a huge Frankensteiner! Before she could capitalize, Jacy and Jazmyn pulled Fallon to safety, leading to a chaotic ringside brawl as Gigi and Tatum fought them to the back.

Back inside, Fallon ruthlessly targeted Shotzi’s knee, slamming it into the ring post and hitting a chop block. Fallon locked in a single-leg crab, wrenching back as Shotzi clawed for the ropes. Shotzi finally broke free, leading to a reset where both women traded heavy clotheslines. Shotzi fired up with a neckbreaker and a bulldog, following up with a suplex against the turnbuckle.

Fallon regrouped on the outside, but Shotzi was right there with a ring-post-assisted kick before rolling her back in. Fallon countered a Sliced Bread attempt into a brutal Tree of Woe stomp and a modified Exploder. She locked in a Stretch Muffler, but Shotzi flipped into a sunset pin for a near-fall!

Shotzi connected with Sliced Bread, nearly sealing the win, but Fallon cut her off on the top rope, sending her crashing down before delivering the Ho Down for the three-count.

Winner: Fallon Henley

Post-match, Fallon had no time to celebrate, already setting her sights on Vengeance Day and her upcoming showdown with Kelani Jordan. Meanwhile, General Manager Ava was interrupted by Fatal Attraction thus setting up a match next week against Stephanie Vaquer in retaliation for last week’s attack.

Bianca Belair & Naomi vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson)

Naomi and Jakara kicked things off with some fast-paced chain wrestling, trading wristlocks and counters before Naomi sent Jakara flying with a dropkick. Bianca tagged in, and she and Naomi hit a double Russian legsweep into an elbow drop for two.

Jakara wisely rolled to safety, bringing in Lash, who muscled Bianca down with a back suplex. But Bianca flipped out of a second attempt and returned the favor with a back suplex of her own, punctuated by a standing moonsault. The power struggle continued, with neither woman fully gaining control. They hit simultaneous dropkicks and kipped up before heading into a break.

Back from commercial, Lash had Naomi trapped in a chinlock, but Naomi fought free, dodging a charge to tag in Bianca! The EST ran wild, hitting a high-step suplex, a splash in the corner, and a ten-count of punches. Lash tried to regroup, but Bianca pressed Jakara overhead and dropped her hard.

Naomi re-entered, looking to finish Jakara, but Lash saved her partner, leading to an all-out brawl. Jakara took out Bianca with a dive, but Naomi nailed Lash with a kick. The heels nearly stole it with a wheelbarrow neckbreaker, but Bianca saved the day.

With all four women down, Naomi fought off Lash, but Jakara rolled her up! Naomi reversed it—two-count! Bianca tagged back in, hit a double slam, and covered for the decisive three-count.

Winners: Bianca Belair & Naomi

A great night of action!  Bayley and Giulia were a formidable duo, Vaquer punching her ticket to Vengeance Day, and while Bianca & Naomi retained, Lash and Jakara keep their momentum rolling. Sound off in the comments, and see everyone for the Rumble this Saturday!
