The June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Skye Blue challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Blue brought the fury to start with lots of punches and then a crossbody off the top. Skye’s mom was watching in the front row but got sprayed in the eyes by The Outcasts. As a result, Blue dove out onto Storm and Ruby.
After the break, Skye managed to spray Storm in the eyes and came close to winning, but Ruby was distracting the ref during the count. Storm then hit Storm Zero, but Skye kicked out right before three. Despite that, Storm locked in the Texas Cloverleaf to retain.
As The Outcasts continued to beat Skye down, Willow Nightingale ran down to make the save. This officially set up Storm & Soho vs. Blue & Nightingale being booked for the premiere of AEW Collision this Saturday.
