All the hard work that “The Pink Dream” Alex Gracia has been putting in has finally paid off!
Gracia received her ticket to gold this week on Women’s Division Wednesday as Maria Kanellis Bennett presented her with this opportunity to enter the upcoming ROH Women’s Title Tournament. Gracia also took part in today’s match as she faced Gia Scott.
This wasn’t the first time we have seen Gracia in a Women’s Division Wednesday match, however, the last time she wasn’t successful. She faced Willow on June 2. Willow impressed Maria enough to get her ticket at that time. Since then Gracia has put in the work to reach out to Maria to get another chance to prove herself. This time she was able to do just that as she took down Gia Scott. She hit the Beautiful Nightmare to get the pin.
Maria went on zoom afterwards to give Gracia the good news.
Gracia joins the following individuals in the tournament so far:
- Angelina Love (first-round bye)
- Allysin Kay
- Rok-C
- Trish Adora
- Miranda Alize
- Willow
- Mazzerati
- Mandy Leon
- Nicole Savoy
- Max the Impaler
- Alex Gracia
Vita VonStarr was in the tournament but she wasn’t able to keep to the stipulation that Maria had set on her. That was to not interfere in the men’s matches and VonStarr couldn’t keep that promise. So she is out.
Several of these women have been competing in the Women’s Division Wednesday matches. And although these aren’t qualifying matches, many have been impressing Maria enough to enter into the tournament.
For those who are unfamiliar with Gia Scott, she is currently the MCW Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion from Baltimore, Maryland. She has held the title for 551-days and is a three-time champion for the promotion. This championship has been held by such names as Mickie James, Melina, Renee Michelle, Kimber Lee, and Brittany Blake.
