In an Instagram post shared by The Rock, new casting news for ‘Fighting With My Family’ was revealed!

Former TNA Knockout Thea Trinidad has taken on the role of the movie’s “Divas champion” – possibly indicating the role of AJ Lee?

The post reads:

FINALLY… @theatrinidadtmt our #DivasChampion. Our @sevenbucksprod is proud to welcome Thea to our #FightingWithMyFamily cast! Casting the right woman to play our champion was critical. I wanted to keep the integrity of our movie's authenticity. We had to find a woman who not only has a real star quality, but she also had to have a real reverence and love for our unique wrestling business. Thea has been working extremely hard for years on the independent wrestling circuit and for those who understand what that means – you know how much one has to love our crazy business to work independently for years. She has a star quality, great presence, humility and is always all about being, "the hardest worker in the room". She's working her butt off to put on an outstanding performance in our movie. Congrats, Thea and welcome to the cast. Let's put in that work and move the crowd. #FightingWithMyFamily #TheaTrinidad #DivasChampion #SevenBucksProds #MisherFilms #Film4 #WWEFilms

Rumors regarding Trinidad’s role circled around a few weeks ago, but it isn’t until now that her appearance has been confirmed.

The Rock and WWE announced earlier this month that they would be producing a film based on the life story of WWE Superstar Paige. The project was inspired by the original 2012 documentary based on the Knight family.

Production began on February 15th, 2017.

The current cast is as follows:

Dwayne Johnson  (WWE)- Role unknown

Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth, 2016) – Paige

Lena Heady (Game of Thrones, 2011) – Julia Knight

Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, 2004) – Ricky Knight

Thea Trinidad (TNA) – Divas champion

Kim Matula (UnREAL, 2016) – Diva #1

Aqueela Zoll (Bad Timing, 2014) – Diva #2

Ellie Gonsalves (Jetpack Nation, 2017) – Diva #3

Vince Vaughn (The Internship, 2013) – Role unknown

Jack Lowden (Denial, 2016) – Zak ‘Zodiac’ Bevis
