In addition to the news that broke earlier, Fightful Select has more information on Thea Trinidad.
They have been told that Trinidad has been filmed walking into the WWE Performance Center with Simone Johnson (The Rock’s daughter). Fightful hasn’t been told if this footage has anything of merit behind it but they were told that Trinidad’s return has been in the works for a while.

Fans of WWE were left shaken when Zelina Vega was released from the company back in November. It emerged that the star was let go due to a breach of WWE’s third-party policies. Since then, the star has been going by her real name as Thea Trinidad on social media.
According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Zelina Vega has been seen at the WWE Performance Center earlier today (Thursday, May 13). The report from Fightful states that she was not just visiting and that she was there to film material. The context of the material is currently not known.
Fightful has also claimed that the plan in the works is for Trinidad to return to the company. The capacity of this is also unkown, but there could be many possibilities for the star. She had shown her value in a managerial role, as well as in the ring.
Her husband, Aleister Black is still with the company although he has not been in the ring since October. There were rumors swirling that Black wanted to return to NXT but was denied. Recently, Black has been seen in promos pushing for his return on-screen.
Prior to her release from WWE, Trinidad had just broken out as a single star. She had spent much of her career in the company as a manager to Andrade, and later Angel Garza. Shortly before her late 2020 release, Vega had even challenged Asuka to the RAW Women’s Championship. A few months after Trinidad’s release from WWE, Andrade followed suit and left the company.
Trinidad is a superstar who was praised by many during her time in WWE, so it was certainly a shock to see her go. Since her departure, she has been active on social media and has remained a popular Twitch streamer, alongside Paige.
Before being a part of the WWE roster, Trinidad who was then known as Rosita enjoyed a successful run as a Knockouts Tag Team Champion in IMPACT Wrestling and had a brief manager role in Ring of Honor. Many fans suspected that she may return to one of the previously mentioned promotions, or even pursue acting. In 2019, she starred as AJ Lee in the Paige biographic movie Fighting with my Family.
