Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix – 2011 Divas Championship
In a feud that lasted several months, Beth Phoenix was able to finally win over Kelly Kelly to become Divas Champion. Both women had help at ringside as Kelly had Eve Torres in her corner and Phoneix had Natalya in hers. This would be crucial for the outcome of the match.
As with this entire feud it focused on the strength of Phoenix and the quickness of Kelly. Kelly would execute a bulldog from the top turnbuckle but only get a two count. This would cause Natalya to attempt to get involved. She would take out Eve into the barricade which pretty much started the numbers advantage for Phoenix.
Natalya would taunt Kelly as she was locked in a devastating submission by Phoenix. She would grab a mic and would yell at Kelly to “scream” and “cry.” Kelly was able to get to the rope to cause a break but this caused a distraction for the referee. Natalya would use the mic as a weapon to knock out Kelly which would seal her fate.
Phoenix would hit the Glam Slam on the champ to end her reign at 104-days.
