Taya Valkyrie is the current Impact Knockouts Champion. She has had a lock on the championship since January when she won it at the Homecoming pay-per-view. She defeated Tessa Blanchard in a match that had Gail Kim as special guest referee. The champion is currently dominating the division and holding strong at 160-days and counting.
Since then Blanchard has attempted to win the title back but to no avail. The two battled it out in a Street Fight where they took each other to their limits. Valkyrie was able to retain her title with the double stomp on Blanchard through a table.
After Valkyrie moved on from Blanchard, she has faced many knockouts in championship matches. Everyone from Su Yung, Jordynne Grace, and five-time Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne have tried to dethrone the champ.
It has been announced that Valkyrie will defend her title in a four-way Monster’s Ball match at Slammiversary on July 7. She will be facing Su Yung, Rosemary, and the returning Havok. From the development of this match let’s discuss three women who should become the next champion.
Let’s start the list with a woman who has already won many titles around the world.
