NWA Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa believes that the AEW women’s division is improving and has a bright future.
In a recent interview with SportsKeeda, Rosa addressed the criticism AEW women’s division has faced. The division has been under fire from fans for some time because of the lack of time and focus the women’s division gets on AEW Dynamite especially.
Rosa has been at the centre of AEW’s women’s division as of late as the NWA and AEW have joined forces. “Le Mera Mera” has appeared on AEW programming the last few weeks. At AEW All Out challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Thunder Rosa has been spending a lot of time around AEW and had this to say about the future of the women’s division;
“There’s a lot of young female talent in AEW. A lot of them are very young and don’t have experience of working TV shows. I think that’s one of the main issues [as to why they are green]. However, they are all working extremely hard.
“It will take time to build something strong. We shouldn’t be discrediting the effort the female wrestlers are putting in. Being a female performer, I can tell you from my own experience, it is hard. You are constantly competing with very talented men.”
Rosa would go to applaud all the of the hard work of all the young and upcoming talent of the roster.
“All those girls are doing a great job at being positive and supportive. They are on the right track to build up a strong women’s division.”
