Thunder Rosa relinquishes the International Princess Championship

Thunder Rosa and Tokyo Joshi Pro announced that she has relinquished the International Princess Championship.

Rosa won the title in January, 5 when she defeated Maki Ito in Tokyo. She was due to return to Japan and defend the title in March but the pandemic put a stop to that.

Rosa commented on the situation on the Tokyo Joshi Pro’s website;

“Unfortunately, due to the situation in Corona, it seems difficult to return to Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling this year. I will not be able to defend my International Princess Wrestling, so I will return this title. But I’ll say this clearly. I will participate in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling again. I’m not just going back to see everyone. I’m going back to challenge that title again. So when Corona calms down, Thunder Rosa Rosa will be back at Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. That belt is mine, so I’m going to get it back. “

A tournament will take place to crown a new champion and because of travel restrictions will feature only Japanese wrestlers.

The first round of the tournament will be held at the Kitazawa Town Hall on October, 10, and Shinkiba 1st RING Tournament on October, 17. The semifinals and finals will be held at the Wrestle Princess event on November, 7, in Tokyo Dome City Hall where the 5th International Princess Champion will be decided.
