AEW has announced that Thunder Rosa will return to Dynamite at tonight’s event. Rosa has appeared on both AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation recently, but she has not been in-action on Dynamite since her main event loss against Britt Baker. That was a Lights Out unsanctioned match from the March 17 episode. She defeated Renee Michelle on this weeks episode of Elevation.
Her opponent for tonight has not been announced at this time.
Rosa is currently ranked number two on the AEW women’s rankings right behind Baker. Baker is facing AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing on May 30 with the title on the line.
Rosa, who is currently signed to NWA, has an upcoming rematch against Kamille. That match will have Kamille’s number one contender spot on the line to which if Rosa wins, she becomes number one contender. If Rosa loses, then she has to only wrestle for the NWA promotion.
Also set for tonight is a sit down interview with Baker conducted by Jim Ross.
Jade Cargill is also set for her own interview as she speaks with Tony Schiavone. Cargill has been a hot commodity since she debuted and has many looking to manage her and provide their services. She picked up a win on this week’s Elevation against Reka Tehaka making her 4-0 in singles competition.
