Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker in a steel cage on March 16; Paige VanZant is officially All Elite

Thunder Rosa has earned herself another championship opportunity and will do so next week at St. Patrick’s Day Slam Dynamite. Rosa was not able to take the AEW Women’s World Championship off of Britt Baker over the weekend at Revolution.

On this week’s Dynamite, Thunder Rosa defeated Leyla Hirsch to become the number one contender. She hit the Fire Thunder Driver to get the three count.

After the match, Red Velvet ran out to the ring to congratulate her friend. Tony Schiavone made his way to the stage to make an announcement. Not only will Rosa and Baker fight on the year anniversary of their historic Unsanctioned Lights Out match but their match will be in a steel cage.

After the announcement, Britt Baker had a backstage promo with Rebel and Jamie Hayter by her side. She says that it was good that Rosa found a friend in Red Velvet because Mercedes Martinez was nowhere to be found at Revolution. Martinez will be in action on this Friday’s Rampage where she faces Hayter.

The TBS Champion had a backstage promo as her next open challenge will result in a possible 30-0 record if she retains. A challenger has not been named at this time, but she asked who wanted to step up and receive her kiss of death.

In the main event of Dynamite, Scorpio Sky took on Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship. During the match, Tay Conti came out to help Guevara but Paige VanZant was in the front row and the two quickly got into each other’s faces.

Conti would get into a verbal altercation with Ethan Page ringside which led to VanZant getting physical. She tossed Conti into the steel steps which distracted Guevara. Sky would end up winning the TNT Championship and post-match, VanZant would roll Conti in the ring. Conti would be laid out on top of Guevara as VanZant signed her contract on top of them making her All Elite.
