Tiffany Stratton Crowned NXT Women’s Champion At Battleground

During Sunday’s NXT Battleground event, Tiffany Stratton was crowned the new NXT Women’s Champion. The title was vacated after Indi Hartwell was drafted to Raw nearly a month ago.

Stratton faced Lyra Valkyria as the two women made it to the finals of an eight woman tournament. The match was one to watch as both women showed out in a 16 minute affair. The biggest topic of discussion was Valkyria’s injured legged. After she defeated Cora Jade to advance to the finals, Jade targeted Valkyria’s leg making her less than 100%.

Even with Valkyria’s injury, the match did seem like it go go either way. However, in the end, Stratton would land the BME after a second try (Valkyria dodged it the first time), and get the three count.

This is Stratton’s first gold in NXT as she signed with the company in 2021.

Despite this being the only women’s match on the show, they were not the only women. During a Heritage Cup match between Noam Dar and Dragon Lee, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson appeared.

First, Jackson came running down to the ring to distract the referee. Legend emerged from over the barricade to hit Dragon Lee with a bucket. This let Dar pick up the win and they all celebrated along with Oro Mensah.

A vignette aired with the hooded NXT attacker. She was watching the clips of her attacks including her most recent one against Roxanne Perez. She states that she will reveal herself this Tuesday on NXT.
