TLC tag team match confirmed for Women’s Tag Team Championship

What has been rumored for the past few weeks has now been confirmed. The Kabuki Warriors will be defending their Women’s Tag Team Championship against Charlotte Flair & RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in a TLC match. This news was made official on tonight’s RAW and will take place at the TLC pay-per-view on Dec. 15.

The feud between Charlotte Flair and both Asuka and Kairi Sane heated up at Survivor Series. Asuka used her green mist against the team captain of her own team which was enough to cause Flair to eat a pin from Lacey Evans from Team SmackDown. Asuka would be counted out as she left the ring.

Since then, both Asuka and Sane would receive back to back pins on The Queen. Asuka would first defeat her one-on-one during the Nov. 25 episode of RAW. Last week Sane would pin Flair in the Kabuki Warriors 2-on-1 handicap match.

On this week’s RAW, Lynch would feel the same frustrations just as Flair did last week as she faced The Kabuki Warriors in a handicap match of her own. Lynch would win but only by disqualification and suffered going through a table thanks to an Insane Elbow from Sane.

After the match, Lynch would agree backstage to team up with Flair to take out a common enemy. They would up the ante and make it a TLC match. They would also make it clear that they don’t like each other and this is strictly business.

This time last year at this same pay-per-view we witnessed Asuka defeat both Lynch and Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a TLC main event match. Will Lynch and Flair suffer the same fate this year? Find out on Dec. 15 on the WWE Network.
