TNA Thwarts NXT By Securing Wins On iMPACT! Jacy Jayne To Bring Her Friends Next Time

The TNA Knockouts division was invaded by NXT talent this week as both matches involved a TNA vs. NXT dynamic. As a correction to our previous preview reporting of this episode, the championships were not on the line during both of these matches.

First, to open the show, the newly crowned TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Ash & Heather By Elegance, took on the team of Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley. This would be Gigi’s first step over the line, but Paxley had challenged Jordynne Grace last year at Against All Odds for the TNA Knockouts World Title.

Ash picked up the win for her team as she hit Rarefied Air on Paxley to get the pin. The Meta Girls were banned from ringside who also have their eye on the champions. Post match, Ash and Heather were set to celebrate with a cake, but Tatum and Gigi smashed Ash’s face into the cake.

Next, Jacy Jayne took on the Knockouts Champion, Masha Slamovich. Tessa Blanchard, who is ready to take what she feels belongs to her from Slamovich, was banned from ringside. Slamovich picked up the win with Snowplow. Blanchard attacked Slamovich post-match. Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee came down to help Slamovich.

In a post made on social media after this episode, Jayne said she is going to be bringing her friends with her next time.

Xia Brookside, Léi Ying Lee, why? Please tell me why you decided to come down and help Masha Slamovich. Masha doesn’t have any friends, but I get it, I get it. You probably just want a little bit of the Jacy Jayne rub. You won’t be the first and you certainly won’t be the last to try to get a little bit of the NXT Rockstar shine. But unfortunately for you, I’m coming back to TNA and I’m bringing my friends. You all have made a fatal mistake.”
