Toni Storm And Kris Statlander Crowned New Champions At AEW Double Or Nothing

This year’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event featured two title changes.

In the first title match, an injured Jamie Hayter didn’t stand much of a chance to The Outcasts. Hayter was attacked before the bell, but she opted to compete anyway. Storm targeted the arm, which Hayter used to hit Hayterade for a nearfall.

Soho sprayed Hayter in the eyes, which eventually led to Storm hitting Storm Zero for the three to cap off a three-minute match. Storm is now a two-time champ.

Later, Jade Cargill and Taya Valkyrie had a physical nine-minute scrap for the TBS title. Valkyrie came so close to winning off of Road to Valhalla. But, Cargill popped back up and hit Jaded to go 60-0.

After, Mark Sterling got on the mic and said Jade was out of competition. Out walked a returning Kris Statlander, who was ready to answer an open challenge. In under a minute, Statlander evaded a pump kick and Jaded to hit a piledriver. Statlander pinned Cargill to win the title and snap the streak. This ended Cargill’s title reign at 508 days.

Elsewhere, Britt Baker and Saraya interfered in Cole vs. Jericho. As a result, it has been booked for Dynamite: Saraya & Jericho vs. Cole & Baker.

Additionally, Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara announced they are expecting their first child together.
