Toni Storm Makes her AEW Debut and Becomes All Elite

It’s Toni Time once again!

Toni Storm has arrived in AEW and is officially All Elite.

Storm was the mystery opponent in the first qualifying match for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament on this week’s Dynamite. She faced The Bunny in a solid match between the two competitors. Storm picked up the win with a Storm Zero as she qualifies for the tournament.

The last fans saw of Storm in the ring was with WWE. She left WWE in December as her last televised match was a losing effort against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

It has been confirmed that qualifiers will continue for the tourney until May when the brackets kick-off. The finals take place at Double or Nothing on May 29. The next qualifier will be on this Friday’s Rampage as Jamie Hayter takes on Skye Blue. Also set for Rampage, we will hear from Paige VanZant and Kris Statlander.

Also this week it was confirmed who would be opponent number 30 for Jade Cargill and her TBS Championship. Cargill has currently a 29-0 winning streak and remains undefeated as the inaugural champ. Her opponent at first was said to be Leva Bates but turned out to be Marina Shafir. The date for this match has not been confirmed.

The AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa was able to finally have some words to say as she was interrupted by Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero last week. Rosa states that when she arrived at AEW she said she was going to put women’s wrestling back on the map.

She says that she doesn’t just want to be the face and pillar of women’s wrestling in AEW but she wants to be it for ALL women’s wrestling. Rosa adds that pillars get knocked down, but the foundation stays. She wants to be the foundation of AEW.

Nyla Rose responds in her own backstage moment saying that she is the true foundation and refuses to be a footnote in this industry.

Congratulations to Toni Storm for becoming All Elite! Check back in with Diva Dirt for all further news and results from the women of AEW.
